In Bruges is a black comedy movie which basically includes jokes that are racist and offensive. It tells the story of two hitmen, Ray and Ken in Bruges waiting for a phone call from their boss while enjoying and loathing the location. The movie is also worthwhile as it includes something to think about even for a comedy and has talented casts who delivers great performance.
Which minor character is your favorite? Why?
In the movie, my favorite character is Ken Daley played by Brendan Gleeson. He is an old yet experience Irish hitman who accompanies the main character Ray in Bruges, Belgium. What fancies me about Ken is his relationship with Ray. Aside from the black comedy throughout the movie, I really pity with Ray because his is wrecked with great guilt for accidentally killing a child in his first assignment of being a hitman.
As the movie progresses, Ken's relationship with Ray has improved; Ken has become like a guardian angel to Ken while in Bruges. When Ray almost committed a suicide to deal with the burden of guilt, Ken quickly stopped him even though Ken is given the task of killing him too by his boss, Harry Waters. He later realizes Ray should be given a second chance to start a new life as he sees him not as an emotionless killer and tries his best to make him realize that. He even goes to far measure of going against his boss who once helps him in dealing his past and even committed suicide just to warn Ray of Harry Waters.His death is not in vain as Ray has moved on from his guilt to a new mindset of wanting to live in the end as he is brought to the ambulance after he was shot multiple times by Harry Waters. Ken is really an admiring character as he cares for someone who is important to him and does his best to convince that person to not give up by doing unimaginable method.

All in all, In Bruges is a fascinating tale of hitmen as it incorporates black comedy with unique characters that are fantastic and sincere.
