Finding Dory: An Unforgettable Journey

Movie Review:
 Finding Dory

It has been a long time since finding nemo was first released to the sea of cinemas and capture the heart of billions of people worldwide in 2003. The first movie was a delightful to watch and its sequel is no exception. Finding Dory has finally swims its way home to longtime fans who have patiently waited long enough to for the sequel to come out (me included) and I promise you guys, the wait is worth it!!!

The teams in making Finding Dory did a wonderful job in making the movie great to watch in terms of realistic animations and great story line. The movie this time casts Dory, the lovable blue tang with short term memory loss, as the lead and takes place one year after helping Marlin, an overprotective clown fish, saves his son, Nemo, with the help of new friends.

Dory may be funny at some times for her disability of short term memory loss, but she actually depicting people with disabilities. That's the issue being portrayed throughout the movie; embracing your disability and not letting it drag you down. In the first movie, she was able to help Marlin reuniting with Nemo  with her ability to read human language and speaking "whale", despite the disability. She is not a fish who gives up easily. Throughout the movie, she meet old and new friends alike who helps her in finding her parents. Even when things get rough, she manages to find a way to solve her problems. She even inspires Nemo and Marlin with her way of thinking. In one scene where they are separated from Dory, they imagine "what would Dory do" and use her way of thinking in order to get together with her. The "Dory Way" is very inspiring that it shows disability is not holding you down. As long as you put your heart in it, you will be able to achieve any goals; as Dory always sings, just keep swimming.

All in all, Finding Dory has a lot of great scenes that manages to capture your heart. It is an amazing movie from Pixar and long time fans will not be disappointed.

Dory keeps on swimming despite the odds.
